Stopped at King's Highway with my boyfriend on our way back to LA and were both very happy about it. The interior is clean and trendy but not over done. We were promptly welcomed and seated and our waiter Mikael met us with cheery spirits and was attentive and knowledgeable.

We both ordered the Twin Palms Burger (Wagyu) and Date shakes. Everything was so tasty and filling. The date shakes at King's definitely have the shakes at Hadley's beat. By a long shot! The shake is creamy and just the right consistency and sweetness. You don't have big chunks of dates in the shake, instead it's smooth and and velvety and you don't have to wait for it to melt down in order to drink it from the straw. Mikael also brought some thyme mayo to our table and it was delicious!

We would definitely patron the diner the next time we are in town.

Ten years later, the Ace Hotel is still as popular as ever! The hip and in crowd keeps coming. They have maintained that secret formula. The clientele really likes this hotel and restaurant.

I have eaten here about ten times the past decade. The food is tasty and appealingly  prepared-presented. I have no complaints about the meal here. I had lunch at the Ace- King's Highway with a friend last Sunday. We sat at the cool bar in the rear. I like the air-con! Very nice in the hot desert.  My tuna melt was super good. Fresh tasting albacore with salad.

Caution though, I ordered two house glasses of Cabernet wine.  They are $16 per glass!  Zoinks! The two glasses of wine comprised one-third of our lunch bill. Zoinks!  $32 for two glasses of wine. Lesson here, check out the wine list with prices before indulging.  I have never paid more the 11US bucks for a glass of house wine.

Nevertheless, this place has great tasting food, which is reasonably priced for what it is..sans the wine prices.  Oh, and the bartender who took our order and the servers were quite polite and friendly.

Yes. I will return for a meal.
    Next time, no wine here.

This diner has a really nice ambiance! There's a bar & pool at the back too as it's connected with ACE Hotel.

We ordered bourbon cherry pancake & grilled cheese jalapeno sandwich and rose kombucha cider & frozen watermelon margarita. We both loved our orders! And the sandwich comes with salad :) service was fast. It was nice that our server also offered me a sample before i ordered a drink bc idk if i'd like it.

A little bit disapointed that they were out of avocados and the bbq mushroom sandwich tho bc that was my 1st option.

Food is good (nothing amazing) but I would consider this a more upscale diner that includes higher prices than your typical diner. Staff is helpful. Parking is provided. Decor is a restorative old hipster diner vibe.

Went for Monday night bingo and ended up going back for more throughout the week! Really great staff, charming decor, and best breakfast burrito I've ever had. My fav restaurant in Palm Springs for sure.
